We understand that every school has it's own identity and values. We are happy to discuss any of the services we provide, so that we can best suit the needs of your pupils and staff.
High quality PE teaching
Planning and delivery
PE lessons will be planned and delivered by your dedicated PE specialist. We are happy to work from your current school scheme of work or can make these arrangements on your behalf. Lessons will be planned to meet the needs of all children and will focus on progression of skills through each unit.
PPA cover
Our staff are experienced in behaviour management and are happy to deliver PE lessons, without the class teacher present. We also welcome the opportunity to work alongside teaching staff and share best practise.
Progression
Progression of skills and knowledge is at the forefront of all that we do. From the first lesson in EYFS to the last in KS2, our aim is to advance pupil's confidence and competence in a range of sport settings. Whether participating in invasion games, outdoor adventure activities, dance or gymnastics, children will also be given the tools to improve their social, emotional and physical well-being.
Extra - curricular
Sports clubs, outside of school hours play a significant part in a child's ability to progress their skills and also help to maintain a healthy mindset. We are happy to discuss provision for your school that could include a sports club before or after school, or even during the lunchtime break.
Curriculum Planning and documentation
Curriculum planning
We have experience in mapping out a whole school PE curriculum and would be happy to complete this on your behalf or in collaboration with the PE subject lead. Curriculum mapping will include at least two units of work for every year group per half term. Maps are designed to promote progress in skills and knowledge from EYFS to KS2.
Subject leadership
As part of our service within your school we are also able to work with your PE lead to produce PE specific progression ladders, knowledge organisers and end points. We can advise or assist in completing your mandatory 'Evidencing Impact' document as well as staff surveys and pupil voice questionnaires.
Assessment
Our staff are able to assess each child against pre-determined end points for each unit of work. This can be provided to your subject lead or class teachers to use in your termly assessment data for PE.
Staff training
Packages to meet your needs
We understand that to ensure high quality teaching of PE by all practitioners in your school, subject knowledge and confidence to deliver, are key. We are happy to work with your staff during lessons or as part of a bespoke training package to fulfil these needs. Training can be specific to one unit of work such as dance, or can be focused on general practice.
If your team has any training needs, we are happy to discuss a package that suits the demands of a busy school schedule and also how your training is delivered.
Subject leader support
We understand that subject leadership responsibilities add to an already heavy workload for teachers. We can work with your PE lead to ensure monitoring, progression and the aims of pupil, parent and staff surveys are all being met.
